We are a multi-disciplinary team of experts across Architecture, Engineering, DevOps and Agile Delivery providing services across the world. We are looking for a talented and dedicated Consultant to join the Hotels & Resorts technology organization which serves TUIs own Hotel brands with end-to-end IT services and solutions.
At TUI we’re ambitious to become the leader in technology within the travel industry and to achieve this we are looking to build a capable, creative team who want to be a part of accomplishing that goal.
We never stop looking ahead, seeking new ways to delight our customers and grow our business. We recognize the power of digital and the massive contribution this brings to creating a truly unique and differentiated customer experience.
ABOUT THE JOB:
- Be involved in the planning and execution of our central reservation system rollout and implementations in our hotel portfolio. This may include understanding the client’s requirements, conducting system analysis, and recommending suitable solutions based on industry best practices and your expertise.
- Serve as 2nd level support. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner will be vital in resolving issues and providing exceptional customer support.
- Identify specific requirements that demand customizations to our CRS and Channel Management Systems by our hotels. Your expertise will help in evaluating the feasibility of these requirements and working with the development team and our external supplier to implement them effectively.
- Create training materials and conduct workshops to educate our hotels and their staff on how to use the reservation system efficiently. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the development of comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and innovations in central reservation systems and the broader hospitality industry will be essential. You’ll be expected to recommend improvements or new features based on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- You might be involved in managing the overall project from initiation to completion. This could include setting project timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring deliverables are met.
- Data security is crucial at TUI and a responsibility for everyone. You’ll need to be well-versed in data protection regulations and compliance requirements to ensure the system’s security and adherence to relevant standards.
ABOUT YOU:
- A degree in business/IT or a comparable qualification as well as initial experience in customer consulting on CRS / CHM implementations.
- A solid understanding of the hospitality and travel industry, including its trends and best practices, will enable you to provide relevant recommendations and solutions to our business.
- In-depth understanding of central reservation systems, including their architecture, functionality, integrations, and database structure. Familiarity with popular reservation system software used in the hospitality industry is essential (e.g. Sabre SynXis).
- Analysing system performance, data trends, and user behaviour will aid in identifying areas for improvement and optimizing the reservation system’s efficiency.
- Excellent problem-solving skills are crucial to identify and resolve technical issues related to the reservation system. The ability to troubleshoot and think critically to devise effective solutions is essential.
- Experience with integration patterns and methods like REST, JSON, XML or SOAP web services are a benefit.
- Familiarity with back-end architectures and data flow principles.
- Exceptional customer service and support skills are necessary for assisting clients with technical queries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive client experience.
- Effective communication is vital to interact with clients, development teams, and other stakeholders. You should be able to convey technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in written documentation.
- Open minded, inquisitive, life-long learner.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, highly autonomous.
- English business fluent is a must as German would be beneficial.
