Product Development Manager

In line with Crystal Ski, Lakes and Mountains current and future growth plans we are now actively recruiting for a brand-new role in the Commercial team.  The Product Development Manager will drive innovation and the development of compelling propositions and new concepts that make our holiday experiences stand out. 

Starting from a deep understanding of Crystal’s customers and their behaviours, the Product Development Manager will support the Senior Product Development Manager in developing the business’ product portfolio, with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholder groups. 

The role is based in Surbiton, but at TUI we believe work is something you do not somewhere you go.  Therefore, we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements for this role and the successful candidate will work a blend of office and home working.

ABOUT THE JOB

• Ensure that customer centricity is a core focus in the strategy and everyday decision making of the commercial team.
• Transforming high level business challenges into compelling customer propositions, plans and roadmaps.
• Demonstrating a deep understanding of the needs and behaviours of Crystal’s diverse customers to develop and improve customer propositions.
• Championing the discovery and delivery of meaningful and actionable customer insights across all divisions and locations to inform customer propositions, drive the product development strategy and support decision making across the business.
• Proposing and then measuring success metrics for new propositions, reporting on insights and adapting
• Working closely with sales, marketing, commercial, digital, purchasing and overseas teams to test and launch new concepts and evaluate the effectiveness of existing propositions.
• Develop a close working relationship with the customer insights part of our business, to formulate customer research plans and convert results into meaningful results.

ABOUT YOU

• Have brought to market customer-facing propositions for a consumer service or product and led the product roadmap.
• Customer focused, obsessed with deeply understanding customer behaviours and building an excellent service proposition.
• A strong influencer to coordinate across-functions – you’ll need the support across multiple teams to successfully execute customer propositions.
• Ability to challenge and to work constructively with leaders from diverse disciplines.
• Good people manager with the ability to nurture and develop future talent with a hands-on approach with the team, leading from the front with a positive attitude to the challenges and opportunities within the day to day tour operator operations
• Analytical and quantitative: able to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
• Have a bias for action, comfortable with ambiguity and able to build new processes from scratch.
• Accomplished presenting skills with the ability to engage and sway an audience.
• This role needs someone who’s genuinely into skiing and travel. We want you to bring that infectious enthusiasm to the table!
