The production planning engineer derive their authority from, and report directly to, the planning and resource manager.
In this role, you’ll be responsible to produce effective planned staged tasks cards to allow effective certification of part completed or completed tasks to meet all Part 145 maintenance regulatory requirements. Furthermore, you’ll also be responsible to build a master schedule and aircraft maintenance program including maintenance plan Gantt chart identifying critical path and milestones. Responsible and accountable to lead and manage pre-input and post input washup meetings through the life cycle management of each aircraft maintenance input.
You will liaise closely and build strong relationships with hangar production staff, estimators, and the commercial management to ensure the aircraft maintenance plan meets delivery, cost and quality through effective and efficient planned aircraft maintenance.
ABOUT THE JOB
• In consultation with the planning manager and the Base Project Co-ordinator prepare work packs and create plans for aircraft maintenance.
• Build master task cards within AMOS that meet company process and regulatory requirements to ensure all work is certifiable and broken down to allow continue certification of maintenance.
• Maintain a working relationship with the those carrying out the maintenance activities and also those carrying out activities within the dock office matrix team to gain feedback from checks completed and in work.
• Responsible to ensure all work completed meets company process and CAA regulatory requirements and responsible for the technical oversite of work area.
• Assist the Chief Engineer and Senior Licensed Engineers to resolve issues with maintenance check packages of work.
• Maintain a disciplined approach and identify issues with Check plans and task card anomalies identified during maintenance.
• Responsible for the continued duty of care and safety of peers within the working environment, drive and embed a just culture.
• Embrace and be responsible for implementing company safety requirements.
ABOUT YOU
• Have had Pt M and Pt 145 awareness courses.
• Have had Human factors, EWIS and SFARR 88 training.
• Good IT skills – AMOS, Excel and Word
• Will ideally have attended a familiarisation course on B737 and B787 aircraft type.
• Good knowledge of EASA part-145 Regulations
• Good knowledge of EASA SMS requirements.
• Relevant degree (not essential)
