TUI Airline Finance is a function within our airline organisation responsible for timely, accurate and insightful reporting to support a variety of stakeholders and to steer business decisions. The TUI Airline Finance function operates as a multi-disciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.
As Finance Manager – Airline Payments, you will be responsible for the payment landscape of TUI Airline’s payment solution across our five airlines working with key stakeholders to ultimately deliver one solution across TUI Airline whilst ensuring local financial requirements are maintained. The role will manage the day-to-day reporting and insight of all TUI Airline payments and will be key in leading the implementation of the payment strategy for TUI Airline as we embark on an exciting time of rolling out strategic ancillary revenue drivers across our fleet. Regular reporting on key metrics, proposing and implementing solutions to stop fraudulent activities whilst ensuring all five airlines remain compliant will be critical in this role and our success.
The role will work closely with Business Systems & Payments teams across TUI Group and develop strong links with experts in the field for technical guidance and solutions.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Finance – Customer & Inflight Services (IFS) with key stakeholder support from the Business Systems & Payments Leads within the source markets.
ABOUT THE JOB
As Finance Manager – Airline Payments, you will be responsible for:
• Delivery of payment reporting for TUI Airline (e.g. reconciliations, chargebacks, declines, etc.)
• Analysis of payment data to control cost of acceptance and improve customer experience
• Driving development of reporting suites with proposals of actions to enable business partners to make key decisions to minimise loss of revenue
• Collaboration with key stakeholders to explore opportunities and implement payment solutions
• Leading discussions with suppliers alongside business owners to build viable payment solutions for new products and services to support the TUI Airline strategy
• Managing relationships and performance of all third-party payments
• Driving the development of all TUI Airline payment solutions in line with the TUI Airline payments strategy
• Manage and implement the TUI Airline payment strategy and be the airline representative for Group-wide payment solutions
• Driving continual process improvement with internal and external stakeholders
• Providing world class business partnering to business owners and finance stakeholders
• Supporting and driving a culture of strong financial controls, compliance, and adherence to regulatory frameworks; ensuring adherence and compliance for accreditation, whilst ensuring controls and processes are in place to mitigate fraud
• Leading and being an active member in ad-hoc projects
• Promoting a culture of risk awareness, control focus, cost efficiency and ‘doing the right thing’

ABOUT YOU
• Knowledge of, and experience in, payment IT landscapes is desirable
• Understanding of the scheme regulations, particularly relating to off-line payment acceptance
• Critical thinking with ability to understand, analyse, and report on data with a continuous improvement mind-set
• Strong stakeholder management, able to develop trusted working relationships across multiple source markets in a matrix organisation with both internal and external customers
• Exceptional communications and influencing skills, able to analyse and communicate complex concepts to create practical solutions and influence decisions that drive change
• Ability to prioritise a high & varied workload
• Results focused, able to cut through complexity and drive progress, whilst maintaining alignment to strategy and business outcomes
• Strong collaborative working style, to interface successfully with colleagues from around the business
• The role requires strong business English (written & spoken), and may involve some international travel
