The Powerplant Engineer provides CAMO technical support function within our airline organisation. As Powerplant Engineer, you will hold responsibility for the technical support aircraft engine systems within the TUI Narrow body fleet.  The team support both line and hangar maintenance with solutions to tasks that are beyond the scope of those laid out in the approved reference material. In this role you will report to the Lead Engineer Powerplant and Powerplant Manager.



As a Powerplant engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the analysis and follow-up of technical documents related to Powerplant in order to stay in conformity with the legal requirements and the implementation of improvements to the fleet
  • Supporting the Lead Engineer Powerplant (LEP) in the follow-up and analysis of new documents (Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and documents related to suppliers).
  • Offering support to the Line and Base Maintenance Department, Flight Ops and logistics on the level of trouble shooting to detect problems and match the right action to it.
  • Following up of the developments within Powerplant and offer support with the implementation of it in order to make sure the fleet stays competitive in the area of Powerplant
  • Offering support with various projects or unforeseen circumstances in consideration of an optimal functioning of the department
  • Analyzing problems and work-out conclusions and present them to the LEP
  • Staying up to date of developments (European as well as global) concerning Powerplant.



  • Relevant aviation background with experience in a technical arena and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Proven record and knowledge of powerplant systems relevant to the TUI Fleet
  • Work in a pan-European team within the TUI Group airlines
  • Develop and utilise performance measures and KPIs to improve performance 
  • Think commercially and operationally whilst ensuring full regulatory compliance is achieved and maintained throughout the process 
  • IT skills, ability to manage projects, and knowledge of engineering systems including AMOS
  • A self-motivated individual who takes the initiative, lead and work collaboratively.
  • Proven experience working with a CAMO
  • Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, may involve some international travel and support out of normal working hours
