Based at Bristol Airport, as Senior Material Supplier you will provide full material support to production areas including Maintrol, Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Workshops and with External Suppliers. You will be responsible for operational stores duties in support of the line stations material requirments and procurement of aircraft spare parts and indirect materials.


**This role is based is based on site at Bristol Airport, we welcome applications from those that live within a commutable distance from the Airport, there will also be ad-hoc travel required to Cardiff and Exeter Airports.**

  • Responsible for the full scope operation of the line stores: receiving, storing, controlling, dispatching and commecial purchasing of materials amongst other typical store duties,

  • Tracing and tracking of on-going shipments worldwide and expediting the delivery of parts into the shops or to other stations

  • Coordination of case-to-case logistical activities worldwide, monitoring task progress and taking the necessary action to deliver in agreed timescales/budgets, completing all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner

  • Maintain a shift handover log for your designated area at the end of each day and liaise with other departments as necessary (e.g. outside agencies, airport authorities, Maintrol etc.)

  • Facilitation of the performance management of strategic suppliers ensuring service level agreements (SLA’s) are met

  • Forward provisioning of materials to meet business needs, ensure ‘loans-in’ are effectively managed and also the exposure to surplus/waste is minimised




  • Aviation background with supply chain experience, including procurement experience within a stores environment is essential for this role

  • Previous experience as a receiving inspector

  • Previous experience of dangerous goods (DG) road & air handling

  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of engineering systems – knowledge of AMOS is advantageous.

  • Able to work independently and without supervision with the ability to work on own initiative

  • Demonstrate self-confidence and the ability to present at all levels across a wide engineering organisation  

  • Willing to travel to support the operational support of the engineering organisation

  • Ability to work rosters which may include unsocial hours, including ad hoc travel to other TUI Airport locations including Cardiff and Exeter.

  • Experience using a forklift is desirable, but not essential
