Reporting to the Security Manager WR, the Deputy Security Manager is responsible for pro-actively protecting TUI WR employees, customers, aircraft and other assets against unlawful actions and minimize consequential damage arising here from. 

As Deputy Security Manager you will translate the regulatory requirements with regards to security in operational procedures. The Deputy Security Manager will implement and monitor compliance of security procedures conform the company national and international standards.





  • You will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the security risk programme. You will develop security standards and practices to provide line management with direction and control. 

  • Together with the Security Manager WR, you will take full accountability for the development of the security risk management approaches within the airline, working closely with other departments to successfully deliver security risk management objectives. You will ensure effectiveness of the security programme by regular evaluation and inspection. In your job as Deputy Security Manager you will represent the Security Department if the Security Manager WR is not available.  

  • You will ensure company compliance with all relevant security legislation and regulation. You will assist in liaison with governments, authorities and law enforcement agencies.

  • You will ensure an effective risk analysis, threat assessment and response capability, e.g. drugs and unruly passengers. You will keep the travel of Inadmissible passengers and consequential costs to a minimum. During periods / instances of increased threat you will initiate special security measures.

  • You will provide specialized advice to senior and line management in all security functions, protection, intelligence, information and investigation.

  • You will be responsible for reporting on the results of security threats and incidents in SAG meetings. Hereby you can act as secretary and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Like all other QSSE colleagues, you also bear responsibility for any related work to continuously improve the quality and safety standards of the QSSE department such as; investigate, follow-up and giving feedback on crew reports, incidents and non-compliances.




  • A Bachelor degree and/or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an equivalent role 
  • Knowledge of international and national aviation (security) regulation and legislation (E.g. EASA)
  • Preferably experience in Security Management
  • Strong analytic skills 
  • Work independently and take initiative
  • A problem solving mind-set and are able to set priorities
  • Always looking for improvement opportunities, ways to improve 
  • You are structured and like project management
  • You like working in an international, changing environment
  • Excellent written and oral skills in Dutch and English
