We are looking for a talented and dedicated technical enthusiast to join our MFE Team, within the newly formed Domain Content, Wheels & Cruise technology organisation, which is responsible for different sourcing systems e.g. for Car Hire but as well for the corresponding TUI own B2C websites and micro frontends.


The Quality Engineer is a practitioner and an advocate of quality-focused software delivery practices, ensuring high-quality of software products and services with an appropriate toolkit of technologies and methods and with a DevSecOps mindset. Working in an agile environment and keeping up with the ever-evolving technical landscape the Quality Engineer is a lifelong learner and likes to think outside the box.




As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team or a practice team that enables quality engineering skills and capabilities across a whole domain. Your responsibilities will be:

  • Quality Assurance Optimization:

    • Optimize and implement quality policies and standards for web applications.
    • Develop comprehensive test plans covering various aspects of web apps.
  • Test Management:

    • Oversee functional, integration, system, regression, load, and usability tests.
    • Ensure thorough test coverage and continuous improvement.
  • Defect and Issue Management:

    • Identify, document, and track defects.
    • Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and enhance software quality.
    • Perform root cause analysis to prevent future errors.
  • Quality Controls and Audits:

    • Conduct regular quality controls and audits.
    • Validate releases before deploying to production.
  • Documentation:

    • Create and maintain test documentation and quality reports.
    • Ensure comprehensive documentation of QA processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with development teams to ensure web app quality.
    • Regularly communicate status and risks to Product Owners and Business Analysts.
    • Foster a quality-focused mindset within the team.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
    • Evaluate new tools and technologies for efficient QA processes.
  • Compliance with Standards:

    • Ensure web apps comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
  • User Feedback and Analysis:

    • Analyse user feedback and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance usability and performance.






  • Good experience doing functional testing and knowledge of test automation and its tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).
  • Deep and proven practical knowledge of and expertise in quality assurance practices, tools, and methods in an agile context and at scale.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Gitlab CI
  • Experience supporting developers on test case implementation and integration of existing components
  • Knowledge of software development processes and agile methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Knowledge of automation, functional, contract, integration, performance, and load testing.
  • Understanding of the usability and performance requirements of web applications
  • Experience testing the most unusual and extreme edge cases in our applications
  • Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills
