The Business Analyst is a critical thinker with a keen eye for detail and love for data, who actively consults with stakeholders, probes to create and communicate a common understanding of the business problem.  Working within a fast-paced agile environment, the Business Analyst thinks outside of the box, loves collaborating across teams and is a lifelong learner.

ABOUT THE JOB:

As a Business Analyst, you are part of a cross-functional team that delivers Customer Experience product from conception to operation. You will collaborate with Architects, Tech. leads, Engineers, Testers, Business Stakeholders, Product owner and external 3rd party suppliers/stakeholders to clearly define, document and communicate requirements that will enable implementation of new changes and enhancements to our data platforms in an agile manner.

 

You’re responsible for evaluating solution options, consulting with stakeholders, providing data driven answers and collaborating with your team to implement productive data driven services. You use your deep understanding of TUI products and systems, business models, processes, data flows and their link to business capabilities to plan and deliver high quality business & data analysis that supports the ongoing delivery of growth and digital transformation across our key markets.

 

Working with a varied set of technology and business stakeholders, you define and document new business, user, and system requirements, considering impacts to upstream/ downstream services. You support the requirement lifecycle from planning through to elicitation, testing, delivery, and business acceptance. You can provide analysis to a fast-paced Agile Delivery team and work closely with the product owner to consult and understand their business and data needs.

 

As a Business Analyst you understand the data specific business needs and using your excellent collaboration skills you and your team deliver the best data driven solutions. You have a clear picture of the tasks of a technical engineering team, are confident in using cloud databases and focus on solving business problems in the best possible way. You don’t shy away from diving deep into data base structures and having in-depth discussions with your fellow business and IT team.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Strong analytical skills to break down complex problems, assess relevant data sources and split tasks into manageable steps in order to enhance or create data products. The candidate should be highly autonomous, comfortable with ambiguity, customer centric and passionate about delivering great data products and services.
  • Collaborative approach: able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and facilitate agreement across multiple markets in a global structure
  • A good understanding of the Agile software delivery framework, tools, ceremonies and techniques and the software development lifecycle including knowledge of Scrum and Kanban. The Candidate must have demonstrable experience of creating Agile User Stories, Epics and Acceptance Criteria/Scenarios.
  • Good communication skills: able to efficiently convey complexity to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of cloud databases, enterprise data warehouse structures, generic data schemas, and query language skills
  • Experience creating, analysing and validating detailed functional specifications and elements of systems design; including data rules, business rules, wireframes or other detailed deliverables that articulate how a business need should be satisfied
  • A demonstrable track record of successfully using requirements elicitation and communication techniques including workshop facilitation, documentation analysis and brainstorming, business process modelling, delivery planning, test/use cases, prototyping etc
  • The candidate should be Open minded, inquisitive, life-long learner & passionate about continuous improvement.
