TUI fly’s engineering department (the only aircraft operator in Belgium also holding an EASA Part-21 Design Organisation Approval) is responsible for the technical follow-up of our fleet, (the fleet currently consists of 34 aircraft: Boeing 767, Boeing 737MAX, Boeing 787, Boeing 737NG & Embraer 190) and is the engineering center of excellence for the B737MAX fleet within the TUI Group. In view of our strong growth ambitions we are looking for new colleagues to reinforce the engineering department.
 

How you will make an impact
There are many ways for you to get involved:

 

  • Develop and optimize the TUI Engine Maintenance Programmes (EMP) and off wing modification policy in liaison with the On-Wing Powerplant Engineers, Finance, OEMs and MRO facilities,
  • Develop scheduled engine shop visits forecasts and detailed removal plans for the TUI group in coordination with Finance Teams and MRO’s
  • Manage engines through the entire SV process including:
  • Defining specific workscopes for scheduled and unscheduled shop visits
  • On site representation at the MRO
  • Determining suitability of parts to be installed
  • Detailed Invoice Review
  • Support warranty and insurance claims arising from off wing events
  • Support the Powerplant Strategy Manager to actively manage OEM’s and MRO’s to ensure best service and cost delivery to TUI
  • Provide workscope expertise in support of the effective negotiation of Engine and APU Repair & Overhaul contracts and aircraft procurement
  • Support the Powerplant Strategy Manager, the Head of Powerplant, and other members of the E&M management team, with other support tasks as required
  • Adopt a solutions-focused, continuous improvement approach to all tasks undertaken, using data to drive activities identify opportunities for improvement
     

What you will bring

  • Considerable engine technical expertise and significant experience of the technical and commercial aspects of engine overhaul
  • Skilled commercial negotiator, and strong communicator with the proven ability to influence, partner with senior leaders, and gain support and commitment from stakeholders
  • Proven financial acumen and sound numeracy, with the ability to quickly identify and assess risks and opportunities, and to employ analytical tools to improve performance
  • A logical thinker with the ability to generate ideas and alternatives
  • Demonstrable ability to clearly articulate concepts and arguments verbally and in written documentation
  • Sound administration and organisational skills and, and adept with Microsoft Excel
  • A self-motivated individual who takes the initiative and works collaboratively, and with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to operate within in a pan-European arena, with multiple stakeholders across a range of source markets 
  • Comfortable communicating with internal and external contacts
     

This role requires strong business English (written & spoken) and may involve travel across Europe.
