We are seeking an ER professional to be part of our Luton based HR team.  Reporting directly to the Senior ER Partner, the ER Policy & Project manager will manage an exciting agenda within the Employee Relations team. Responsible for leading HR operations, policies and projects that are essential to the running of our business and to keep us compliant with UK&I legislation.  However, they also provide the opportunity to trail blaze, be innovative and reflect our culture, enabling TUI to continue to be a great place to work where colleagues can be their best selves.

How you will make an impact as ER Project & Policy Manager
There are many ways for you to get involved:


  • Lead the HR Services and HR administration Operations – the HR Services team provides HR policy advice and guidance to Line Managers and Employees across the UK&I
  • Be responsible for implementing and delivering the strategy and direction directly and through the wider ER team  
  • Work with the Senior ER Partner to create and define the Employee Relations project plan, aligned with the broader HR strategy and business plans
  • Be responsible for the creation, development and effectiveness of simple, innovative and leading HR policies whilst ensuring legal compliance, along with embedding robust governance routines
  • Be recognised as an internal employment law expert; used as a point of escalation for complex cases that arise from ER projects 
  • Gain insight to drive, engage and oversee change to ensure a continuous improvement approach including process or cost efficiencies
  • Be responsible for developing and managing key internal & external stakeholder relationships, within HR and in the wider business, up to Board level to drive improvement, standardisation and simplification of policy & processes
  • Create pragmatic solutions that enable the business to thrive and maintain our status as an Employer of Choice
  • Work with the Senior ER Partner to ensure that the Senior HR Advisors provide consistent, high-quality Employee Relations advice across ER Policy & Projects activity you lead in an engaging and inspiring manner
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the service provided by your team, ensuring that internal customers are delighted by their experience

  • Proven experience successfully leading and engaging direct and indirect teams

  • Experience utilising multiple project management methodologies with the ability to confidently run complex HR projects  
  • Articulate & results-oriented – thinking about the customer in everything you do
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong pragmatism, combined with commercial mind-set
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work, across multiple subject matters
  • Ability to confidently deal with ambiguity and think creatively to deliver solutions
  • Passionate about self and team development and continuous improvement
  • Brave, happy to make mistakes and the ability to learn from them quickly
  • Champion of the potential of data in HR; using it to drive change and make decisions
  • CIPD Qualified or equivalent
