We are looking for a talented and dedicated leader to join the newly formed Security Architecture technology organisation which is responsible for the governance and delivery of security through the organisation. 

The Security Architect is a strategic leader and advocate of enterprise-scale security architecture. Shaping the evolution of Microsoft 365 and identity security across our organisation, the Security Architect combines deep technical expertise with forward-thinking vision to design innovative security solutions. With proven experience in architectural governance and technical leadership, they drive the transformation of our security landscape while mentoring the next generation of security professionals.

ABOUT THE JOB

• As a Security Architect, you will provide technical leadership across TUI’s Microsoft 365 and identity security landscape, enabling secure-by-design architecture that protects our 70,000-user environment.  
• Being a strategic thinker with deep security expertise, you'll use your excellent stakeholder management skills to shape and drive our security vision, delivering architectural solutions that address complex enterprise challenges.  
• You will lead the security architecture community to establish architectural principles, promote security-first design, and champion continuous evolution of our security posture.  
• You will contribute to the strategic direction of technical solutions and will work with senior stakeholders to ensure security architecture aligns with business objectives, addressing both current and emerging security requirements.  
• You will achieve this by providing architectural oversight across the security landscape in collaboration with engineering teams, leveraging Microsoft 365 security capabilities and automation frameworks, ensuring solutions meet enterprise security standards and compliance requirements. 
• With your expertise, you will design and govern zero-trust architectures while driving our security strategy and reference frameworks.  
• You will advance our security architecture practice by establishing patterns for identity governance and security automation. To achieve this, you will define architectural standards within TUI, leveraging Microsoft security technologies to create sustainable security solutions.
• You will ensure security architecture remains consistent and forward-looking, taking proactive strategic action to strengthen our security posture through enhanced frameworks and automation. 
• You have a proven record in delivering enterprise security architectures, guiding teams through security transformation, with a strong focus on identity modernization, security operations enhancement, compliance frameworks, and security governance.  
• Your Microsoft Security Architect (SC-100) certification demonstrates your expertise in this domain. 
• You can articulate complex security concepts clearly and take the initiative to translate security strategy into practical architectures.  
• Together with senior stakeholders, engineering teams, and governance forums, you will evaluate emerging threats, assess new technologies, and help teams implement effective security controls.
• You lead the Security Architecture Community of Practice, driving collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organisation.  
• You work independently while providing technical mentorship to security engineers. 
• You thrive in an enterprise security landscape.  
• You challenge architectural decisions constructively and maintain high standards for security design.  
• You consistently drive for architectural excellence, technical rigour, and strategic thinking at both team and organisational levels.  
• You remain current with security trends and actively contribute to our security architecture evolution.

Essential Technical Expertise 

• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft 365 security architecture principles. 
• Deep expertise in identity and access management architectures. 
• Knowledge of zero-trust security frameworks. 
• Expert understanding of security automation and orchestration. 
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale security solutions. 
• Strong grasp of security governance and compliance frameworks. 

Essential Experience 

• Track record of leading security transformation initiatives.
