

Senior HR Advisor
Joining our team as a Senior HR Advisor, you’ll collaborate with HR Business Partners in shaping and implementing the HR People Plan, delivering day-to-day HR support for dedicated business areas.
With a keen focus on operational excellence and the employee life cycle, this role is key to connecting people plans and operational delivery. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate HR best practice, while working closely with key HR & business stakeholders.
You will work with your peers and demonstrate a real passion for the business, applying good judgement of opportunities which drive change, add value and helps to create an environment where people perform at their very best.
In addition to complex Employee Relations case work you will also be involved in performance- review cyclical activity and a mixture of HR projects, leading work streams and playing a key role in their success.

ABOUT THE JOB
- You’ll be a ‘trusted partner’ shaping day-to-day HR support, in terms of the colleague and manager experience, for your business area(s) having a commercial and solution focused mindset, being proactive and driving manager competence and confidence.
- You will provide HR support to your own designated business areas to help shape and implement the People Plans, as well as supporting your team and managers with their escalated ER cases.
- You will support your own business areas, providing coaching to line managers to help them manage their teams and create a winning culture where our colleagues feel they can come as they are and perform at their best.
- This is a collaborative role where you will work across the wider HR Function to support, drive and own projects, identifying gaps and appropriate solutions in conversation with your manager.
- You will play an active role in the team by taking the opportunity to share best practice, ideas and learning with your colleagues.
- Working closely with the Lead HR Advisor, Senior ER partner and the Policy and Projects Manager, you will help to shape our team strategy based on your understanding of the current and future needs for your dedicated business areas.
- You will play a part in reviewing our people policies, focusing on inclusion, wellbeing, hybrid working and clarity to ensure colleagues and managers have easy access to correct and relevant information. This means you also consider future legislation changes, topical issues and social challenges across a complex multi-operation business.
ABOUT YOU
- Have experience of working in a busy, complex HR environment which includes project support alongside day-to-day HR activities
- Sound understanding and working practice of good current employment practises
- Experience in challenging the status quo in the right way, to build trust and drive the business forward
- Able to provide evidence of managing relationships with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
- Advocate for progress and process improvement.
- Comfortable with the ambiguous, can assess commercial, operational and employment risks and create adaptable plans to manage this
- An excellent communicator, you’re curious and you lead with integrity
