Our Travel Advisors across Europe
Meet the people who make TUI Retail
Working in retail means being part of some of the most exciting moments in our customers' lives – from that first conversation about where to go, to finding the holiday that's just right for them. Our retail colleagues use their expertise, curiosity and love for travel to bring holiday dreams to life every single day.
But there's no single route into a career in retail, and no two TUI journeys look the same. Some of our colleagues joined because they've always been passionate about travel, while others discovered the industry along the way. Some are at the beginning of their career, whilst others have grown into new roles and opportunities within TUI.
We caught up with a few of our retail colleagues to hear about the journeys that brought them here, the moments that make their job worthwhile and what working in a TUI store really means to them.
Arishia - Retail Employee - The Netherlands
After completing her tourism studies, Arishia knew she wanted a career where she could combine travel with helping people. She joined TUI in 2021 as a Retail Employee and later progressed to Sales & Service Lead. After two years in that role, she realised that working directly with customers was what gave her the most energy, so she decided to return to the retail role she loved.
For Arishia, no two days are the same. One customer might be planning a cruise, while another is dreaming about Curaçao.
Every customer has different wishes, and I love helping them turn those into holidays they'll never forget.
She also values the opportunities TUI gives her to keep learning, discover new destinations and create memories with colleagues. One of her favorite experiences so far was her first private study trip with four colleagues to Crete, exploring the island, visiting hotels and experiencing the destination first-hand.
Sarah - Travel Consultant - Belgium
For Sarah, becoming a Travel Consultant meant turning something she'd always loved into her everyday job. Before joining TUI over three years ago, she was already the person researching destinations, comparing hotels and planning trips for herself, friends and family.
I used to do all that research in my free time, and now I get to do it every day for our customers. It's even more rewarding when you can help turn someone's dream trip into reality.
It's the variety and personal contact that make the role special for Sarah. No two days are the same, with everything from planning new holidays and sharing travel advice to helping with existing bookings. One of her personal highlights has been a study trip to Slovenia, where she got to experience a destination first-hand and bring that knowledge back to her customers.
Her advice to anyone considering a career in retail?
Go for it! You'll probably regret it more if you don't try. Let's TUI it!
Jack - Retail Manager - United Kingdom
Jack joined TUI in 2021 as a Football Academy Coach, inspired by the passion and positivity he saw in TUI colleagues while working overseas. Since then, his journey has taken him across five different countries, from Football Coach to Team Leader and, most recently, to a new chapter in the UK as a TUI Retail Manager after welcoming his baby boy earlier this year.
Within his first 12 months in retail, Jack was nominated for both Manager of the Year and Store of the Year. A milestone he credits entirely to his team.
Leadership is never a solo achievement, and I'm so proud of what we've been able to accomplish together.
What he enjoys most is being part of those special moments when customers plan their holidays – from the initial excitement to getting all the little details right. His biggest learning along the way? Even in an increasingly digital world, people and a friendly smile can make all the difference.
And his favourite TUI memory? Singing karaoke with a live band in front of his colleagues at the Land of Legends in Turkey. Talk about a star moment!
