As a Manager Public Policy, you will be driving TUI Group’s relations with the Belgian government(s) and policymakers. The role will strengthen the political presence of TUI in Belgium and will be acting as primary contact for the respective decisionmakers.

This role will be published up until the 18th of september 2024.

ABOUT THE JOB

Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with government representatives across all levels in Belgium, focusing on policy areas like tourism, transport, infrastructure, sustainability, labour, training, taxation, and subsidies.
Policy Advocacy: Act as the main point of contact to outline and promote TUI’s policy in the Belgian market, influencing policy-making and identifying opportunities for sectorial alliances.
Alignment and Coordination: Ensure alignment with TUI Group’s policy approach, providing transparency and consistency, and coordinate ministerial meetings, VIP visits, and key industry events.
Sustainability Support: Support the Sustainability Agenda and TUI Care Foundation initiatives to strengthen TUI’s position on sustainability within the industry.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with various business areas within the Group Public Policy Team, including Airlines, Tour Operator, TUI Hotel & Resort, TUI Musement, Group Legal, and Group Comms.

ABOUT YOU

Exceptional skills in building and influencing relationships at the highest levels.
Excellent understanding of policymaking in the tourism sector.
Proven experience and expertise in lobbying and public affairs.
Highly motivated with a successful track record in dealing with government representatives in Belgium.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English, French and Dutch. Another EU language is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of the travel and tourism industry and its regulatory framework.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize key tasks.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
