Global IT Organisation
To bring a smile to the face of TUI guests day after day, our IT departments ensure smooth processes and drive TUI’s digital transformation. Starting in October 2020 our local IT teams across Europe moved into one global IT Domain Organisation.
This global, Domain-centered organisational set-up consists of various Master Domains that take over end-to-end responsibility for our broad portfolio of IT products and services. The IT Domain Organisation spans across all our markets and functions.
We create innovative solutions for our customers and guests by bringing together the right people and the right technologies.
Flexibility is our top priority and so we work daily in an agile, dynamic environment, which is characterised by the search for new ideas and the corresponding willingness to change.
One outcome of this new way of working is a new platform.
It will be built entirely around our travelers and offer them the flexibility they want with the high quality service and convenience that have been trusting TUI to deliver for years.
This new platform will be known as TRIPS and covers the whole holiday product life cycle from sourcing to selling. It will be our entire technology eco system for the markets. Within the TRIPS platform are all essential elements – hotel purchasing, own and third-party room allotments, flight management, product packaging, price and yield, CRM, web front-end and app.

Development Programme “for:ward“
“Our business is changing: some roles and work scopes will change meaning new skill sets will be needed.”
The IT development programme “for:ward” has started in 2021. The focus of the programme is to accelerate our digital transformation by supporting colleagues to acquire the right skills in order to turn TUI into a digital platform company. At the heart of the programme there are two streams: role transition and on-demand learning.
Our role transition stream offers our IT colleagues intensive up- and reskilling within Data & Analytics, DevSecOps Engineering, IT Security and Agile Working.
On-demand learning provides our colleagues with access to a Udemy collection of top-rated business and technical courses to develop their expertise – at any time, in any place.
The Vision of our programme is „At TUI, continuous learning is a natural part of business delivery“. This will be supplemented by our new work mindset and a focus on peer learning & interaction.
TUI Tech Academy
In addition to our internal development programme for:ward and to support a culture of lifelong learning within the focus of implementing TUI’s IT Strategy, we developed the TUI TechAcademy.
It includes a collection of webinars that have been presented by our own experts in the field sharing knowledge and information on technology topics relevant for TUI, like API, Data, Cloud, DevOps amd Blockchain.
Learnings range from general introductions to more specific topics with an in-depth focus and are available to all our colleagues.
