We are looking for a talented and dedicated technical enthusiast to join the newly formed Colleague Computing technology organisation which provides common services such as IT devices and Collaboration services to our colleagues. 

The Digital Workplace Engineer is a practitioner and an advocate of state-of-the-art digital colleague services e.g. Microsoft cloud services, able to tackle the whole lifecycle of designing, building, testing and deploying colleague focussed solutions. Working in an agile environment and keeping up with the ever-evolving technical landscape the Digital Workplace Engineer is a lifelong learner and likes to think out of the box.

 

 

ABOUT THE JOB 

 

As a Digital Workplace Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team that enables Workplace services across the whole TUI organisation with focus on our colleagues in retail shops and headquarters. Being an enthusiast in all things around communication platforms, with a strong user orientated mind-set, and thanks to your excellent collaboration skills you will work with your team to deliver the best answers to our colleague needs and to take over full responsibility for its platforms and services, from design to operation. You care diligently about the quality of your work, including proper documentation and security aspects. 

You will use your deep technical skills to work closely with your fellow engineers to ensure an optimal colleague experience across the organization. You will develop, administrate and support different services based on Microsoft Teams and associated technologies, enabling global colleagues across TUI to work more efficiently. Furthermore, you are supporting your fellow Workplace Engineers, Architects and Support Analysts to deliver the best experience for our colleagues. 

You are able to verbalise your thoughts and ideas and take the initiative to translate ideas into outcomes. Together with the domain’s Practice teams as well as the Group Enabler teams you also will research, evaluate and test new approaches, processes and tools and help teams to use them effectively. You are demonstrating active contribution to Communities of Practice, including collaboration in shared initiatives.

ABOUT YOU 

 

  • A solid understanding of Microsoft 365, voice and video communications services and related technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory and policies, and networking technologies 

  • Good knowledge of managed print services, cloud server administration (AWS) and application management    

  • Understand, develop and implement best practice security measures  

  • Ability to understand and shape workflows, design and implement support concepts, including external partners  

  • Desire to build holistic solutions including self-service capabilities for colleagues  

  • Sound expertise on digital workplaces (relevant area: e.g. hardware, software, meeting rooms, Manged Print Services, Microsoft suite of tools) and other core Microsoft products  

  • Demonstratable experience developing and implementing efficient, innovative functions and solutions 

  • Administration and engineering skills in MS 365 and PowerShell scripting within an Enterprise scale environment 

  • Customer centric, passionate about delivering great digital products and services 

  • Demonstrating true engineering craftsmanship mindset 

  • Passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration and great teams  

  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with good communication skills  

  • Open minded, inquisitive, life-long learner  

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, highly autonomous 

  • German and English Language skills on technical communication level
