About the job

As the Chief Licensed Aircraft Engineer at TUI Engineering, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing the safe and efficient release-to-service of aircraft from Base Maintenance. Reporting directly to the Check Managers, you’ll ensure that all work conducted within your area of responsibility complies with technical and regulatory standards, company processes, and procedures.

 

  • Maintain efficient workflow by liaising with Licensed Aircraft Engineers on a daily basis.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication within the maintenance facility.
  • Collaborate with Base Maintenance management to uphold an efficient and compliant Part-145 organization.
  • Plan, schedule, and allocate daily work to meet customer requirements for on-time delivery, high quality, and within budget.
  • Manage staff performance and conduct, supporting Check Managers with performance reviews and disciplinary issues.Foster a just culture of responsibility, accountability, and company values.
  • Ensure safe and high-quality execution of Base Maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate all staff within designated aircraft maintenance projects.
  • Monitor performance against check plans and provide guidance to staff as necessary.
  • Identify and resolve impending issues with Check Managers and Licensed Aircraft Engineers.
  • Ensure timely inspection and completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work.

 

About you

 

  • Experience with EASA Cat B1 and C licensed with type ratings on B737NG/MAX and/or B787 are a definete plus
  • Minimum five years of active certification on at least two of the above type ratings.
  • Flexibility in working hours to align with TUI Group Winter Maintenance Planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of EASA Part-145 regulation and understanding of SMS requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Human Factors within the aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Health & Safety regulations.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with company operating engineering systems.
