Join TUI Hotels & Resorts in Zanzibar as Cluster Quality Manager where you will drive continuous improvement across all hotel departments by conducting quality audits, assisting with reviewing SOPs, identifying top priorities for improvement, and coordinating with the relevant HOD’s the completion of pending actions to ensure highest levels of conformity with the different health & safety and environmental audits. This role has a particular focus in Hygiene standards so previous experience in this field will be a plus.

 

This role will be responsible for our TUI BLUE Hotel and The Mora hotels in Zanzibar. 

 

ABOUT THE JOB 

  • Verifies compliance with CRISTAL Standard Audit requirements throughout the different departments.
  • In coordination with the Head of Department, he/she will be responsible for pending action resolution, conducting audits and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Liaison with Tour Operator, 3rd audit parties and local authorities during the pre-audit-audit-after audit process.
  • Identifies key areas of risk in various food operations and takes preventive remedial action.
  • Provides in-house food hygiene training for all good handlers, (e.g. new hires and trainees).
  • Conducts and records daily kitchen inspections on the personal, environmental and food hygiene conditions and provides corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Conducts regular internal inspections with culinary leadership and kitchen cleaning staff.
  • Coordinates cleaning program in all F&B areas (e.g., General clean), identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and HOD’s.
  • Liaises with pest control company for any pest issues and monitors pest control performance.
  • Maintains documentation on all hygiene and food safety standards throughout the operation. 
  • Monitoring and follow up of ALICE report system for open pending actions.
  • Educate/train team members on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all local laws and safety regulations.

 

ABOUT YOU 

  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role within a similar hotel brand or business
  • Proficient in all aspects of building operations and facilities management
  • Strategic planner and proficient follow ups
  • Proficiency in organizational planning with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills with attention to details and open to different cultures
  • Island experience will be an added advantage.
