Internship (m/f/d) Group Strategy
**At our Hannover location, we are looking for a mandatory intern (m/f/d) in the Group Strategy department for a period of 6 months, starting as soon as possible. The position offers the possibility of remote work, with office presence as needed in Hannover (TUI HQ).**
About Group Strategy
The Group Strategy department, reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer & CEO Holiday Experiences, is a central team within the TUI Group. We collaborate with senior stakeholders across the company in various functions and regions to shape TUI's strategic agenda and support the company in implementing strategic initiatives.
We also bring the corporate strategy to life. We are responsible for executing strategic and group-wide projects, as well as the internal and external communication of the corporate strategy (e.g., presentations and communications to the Supervisory Board, the Group Executive Committee, and the Senior Leadership Team).
If you choose to intern with Group Strategy, you will develop many of the skills necessary for your career. These include strategic and commercial acumen, presentation skills and compelling storytelling, business case development, working in cross-border and cross-functional teams, and prioritizing workflows.
Working with us also means close contact with senior executives (including the C-suite) and numerous networking opportunities, as well as the chance to develop a broad and deep knowledge of the entire TUI Group and the leisure travel market in general.
The Group Strategy team is international in composition but meets regularly in person.
ABOUT THE JOB
Contribution to the further development of the corporate strategy
Preparation of professional board documents/presentations
Support in the creation of strategic market, trend, and competitor analyses
Assistance in building Business Intelligence reports (e.g., in PowerPoint or Tableau)
Participation in strategic projects across various business areas of the corporation (e.g., on topics such as business model development or business transformation)
Support in innovation-related topics, such as scouting relevant start-ups
Involvement in supporting of ad-hoc strategic work
ABOUT YOU
- Studies in business administration, economics, tourism, at least in the 4th semester, preferably with a focus either strategy, finance or controlling
- Initial practical experience in the field of corporate development/strategy desirable
- Very good knowledge of using Microsoft Office
- Initial practice in using business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Spotfire desirable
- Fluent written and spoken English and German
- Strong interest in the tourism industry and analytical issues
- Distinctive analytical skills and quick comprehension, even of complex content
- Enthusiastic personality, who approaches issues in a structured and creative manner
- Independent, careful and reliable way of working
- Flexibility, resilience and strong team spirit

ÜBER GROUP STRATEGY
Der Bereich Group Strategy, der dem Chief Strategy Officer & CEO Holiday Experiences unterstellt ist, ist ein zentrales Team innerhalb der TUI Gruppe. Wir arbeiten mit hochrangigen Stakeholdern im gesamten Konzern in verschiedenen Funktionen und Regionen zusammen, um die strategische Agenda der TUI zu gestalten und das Unternehmen bei der Umsetzung strategischer Initiativen zu unterstützen.
Wir erwecken die Konzernstrategie auch zum Leben. Wir sind verantwortlich für die Umsetzung von strategischen und gruppenweiten Projekten, sowie die interne und externe Kommunikation der Konzernstrategie (z.B. Präsentationen und Mitteilungen an den Aufsichtsrat, das Group Executive Committee und das Senior Leadership Team).
Wenn du dich für ein Praktikum bei Group Strategy entscheidest, wirst du viele der für deine Karriere erforderlichen Fähigkeiten entwickeln. Dazu gehören: strategischer und kommerzieller Scharfsinn, Präsentationsfähigkeiten und überzeugendes Storytelling, Entwicklung von Business Cases, Arbeit in grenzüberschreitenden und funktionsübergreifenden Teams sowie Priorisierung von Arbeitsabläufen. Eine Tätigkeit bei uns bedeutet auch engen Kontakt zu Führungskräften (einschließlich der C-Suite) und zahlreiche Gelegenheiten zum Networking sowie die Möglichkeit, ein breites und tiefes Wissen über den gesamten TUI-Konzern und die Tourismusbranche im Allgemeinen zu entwickeln.
Das Group Strategy Team ist international aufgestellt, trifft sich aber regelmäßig in Person.
ZUR POSITION
Mitarbeit bei der Weiterentwicklung der Konzernstrategie
Anfertigung von professionellen Vorstandsunterlagen / Präsentationen
Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von strategischen Markt-, Trend- und Wettbewerbsanalysen
Unterstützung beim Aufbau von Buisness Intelligence Reports (z.B. in Powerpoint oder Tableau)
Begleitung von strategischen Projekten in den verschiedensten Geschäftsbereichen des Konzerns (beispielsweise zu den Themen Business model development oder Business transformation)
Unterstützung bei Innovationsthemen, wie zum Beispiel dem Scouting von relevanten Start-ups
Mitwirkung bei der Umsetzung von ad-hoc-Strategiefragen
ZU DIR
- Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre, Wirtschafswissenschaften, Touristik, mindestens im 4. Semester, gerne mit Schwerpunkt in einem der Bereiche Strategie, Finanzen oder Controlling
- Erste praktische Erfahrungen im Bereich Unternehmensentwicklung/-strategie wünschenswert
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in der Anwendung von Microsoft Office
- Kenntnisse in der Anwendung von Business Intelligence Tools wie Tableau oder Spotfire wünschenswert
- Fließende Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
- Starkes Interesse an der Tourismusbranche und analytischen Fragestellungen
- Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten sowie schnelle Auffassungsgabe, auch von komplexen Inhalten
- Begeisterungsfähige Persönlichkeit, die sowohl strukturiert als auch kreativ an Sachverhalte herangeht
- Selbstständige, sorgfältige und zuverlässige Arbeitsweise
