Our IT departments work hard every day to make TUI guests smile. They make sure things run smoothly and help TUI change digitally.
Since October 2020, our local IT teams in Europe joined together as one global IT Domain Organization. This setup has different Master Domains that are in charge of everything for our many IT products and services. The IT Domain Organization covers all our markets and jobs.
We bring innovation to our customers and guests by combining the right people with the right technologies. Our focus is on flexibility, and we operate in a flexible and lively environment every day. This environment is all about seeking fresh ideas and being ready to make changes.
This approach has led to the creation of a new platform designed around our travelers' needs. This platform, called TRIPS, will provide travelers with the flexibility they desire along with the high-quality service and convenience that TUI is known for. TRIPS covers every stage of the holiday experience, from sourcing to selling. It's essentially our complete technology system for the markets. Inside the TRIPS platform, you'll find all the essential components, including hotel procurement, both our own and third-party room allocations, flight management, product bundling, pricing and revenue management, CRM, web front-end, and app.

The IT development programme “for:ward” has started in 2021. The focus of the programme is to accelerate our digital transformation by supporting colleagues to acquire the right skills in order to turn TUI into a digital platform company. At the heart of the programme there are two streams: role transition and on-demand learning.
Our role transition stream offers our IT colleagues intensive up- and reskilling within Data & Analytics, DevSecOps Engineering, IT Security and Agile Working.
On-demand learning provides our colleagues with access to a Udemy collection of top-rated business and technical courses to develop their expertise – at any time, in any place.
The Vision of our programme is “At TUI, continuous learning is a natural part of business delivery“. This will be supplemented by our new work mindset and a focus on peer learning & interaction.
In addition to our internal development program for:ward, which promotes continuous learning in line with TUI's IT Strategy, we've also created the TUI TechAcademy.
Our new digital learning platform makes personal and progressional Develpoment accessible to all our colleagues. With the help of our subject matter experts, we compiled relevant learning content aligned to our IT strategy, with a variety of resources arranged according to skill-level and format to suit the learners' individual needs.
This TechAcademy offers a series of webinars led by our own experts, covering important technology subjects that matter to TUI, such as API, Data, Cloud, DevOps, and Blockchain.
These webinars range from basic introductions to deeper, more specialized topics, and they're accessible to all our colleagues.
